FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the PL790SW
How do I connect my Bluetooth headphones to the PL790SW?
Activate Bluetooth mode on the record player. Put your headphones or speaker into pairing mode. The device automatically searches for nearby receivers. The blue LED flashes during the search and remains steadily lit once the connection has been established successfully.
Do I need a special phono input on my audio system?
No. The PL790SW has an integrated phono preamplifier. If your amplifier does not have a "PHONO" input, set the switch to "LINE-OUT". If you have a high-quality external phono preamplifier or a corresponding input, select "PHONO" to output the signal directly.
What does the anti-skating function do?
The anti-skating function compensates for the physical force that pulls the tonearm toward the center of the record. Correct adjustment keeps the stylus centered in the groove, minimizing distortion, optimizing channel separation, and reducing wear on your records.
Which replacement stylus do I need for this model?
The PL790SW is designed for Audio-Technica’s moving-magnet cartridge. As a suitable replacement stylus, we recommend the original accessory type NADEL09 to maintain the usual high sound quality.
How do I correctly set the tonearm tracking force?
Balance the tonearm horizontally first by adjusting the counterweight. Then set the calibration ring to zero and turn the weight to the value recommended for the cartridge (for the AT system, generally around 3 grams).
