Instructions for battery disposal
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. End users are legally obligated to return used batteries.
Priority: Return to municipal collection points
Environmentally sound and recommended disposal takes place via municipal collection points (e.g., recycling centers or battery collection boxes in stores). Used batteries can be dropped off there free of charge and are accepted nationwide.
Additional return option at the retailer
Regardless, used batteries of the type that we currently stock or have previously stocked can also be returned free of charge to our local collection point :

Returns accepted during normal business hours 9am-4pm.
Returns via postal service are not possible.
Meaning of the battery symbols
- Crossed-out trash can symbol : Battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
- Pb = lead, Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury (pollutants).
