What to do if there is no sound from the TV via the HDMI connection?

Make sure you are using your TV's HDMI-ARC (Audio Return Channel) port. Important: The output format in your TV's audio settings must be set to "PCM". The system cannot decode Dolby Digital or DTS.

Can I use my own speaker cables with the ICD5000SW?

Yes. The system has high-quality screw terminals for the speakers. You can easily replace the included cables with longer or higher-quality hi-fi cables (recommended cross-section 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm²).

Does the device have an audiobook function?

Yes. The ICD5000SW features an intelligent resume function for the CD player and USB port. The device remembers the exact position and resumes playback from precisely where it left off after being switched off and on again.

How can I improve DAB+ reception on this model?

Thanks to the 75-ohm antenna connector, you are not limited to the included wire antenna. For weak signals indoors, we recommend connecting an active indoor antenna or a rooftop antenna via a shielded coaxial cable.

Does Bluetooth also support headphones?

No. The Bluetooth interface is a receiver (sink). You can play music from your smartphone on the system, but you cannot pair Bluetooth headphones with it. Use the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the front for that.
