FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions about the PL711SW

Can I connect my Bluetooth headphones to the PL711SW?

No. The Bluetooth interface on the PL711SW is a receiver. You can wirelessly play music from your smartphone through the system's high-quality speakers, but you cannot send a signal to headphones.

How do I digitize my vinyl records on my computer?

Connect the turntable to your PC or Mac via the USB port. Using free software (e.g., Audacity), you can directly digitally record the music from your records and save it as an MP3 file.

Does the device have a high-quality needle system?

Yes. The PL711SW comes factory-equipped with a precision moving magnet cartridge from Audio Technica. Compared to simple ceramic cartridges, this offers significantly better sound resolution and is gentler on your records.

Do I need a special phono input on an amplifier?

No. Thanks to the built-in switchable preamplifier, you can connect the device to any standard AUX input via LINE-OUT. If you want to connect the device to an amplifier with a true PHONO input, simply set the switch to "PHONO".

How do I correctly adjust the tracking force?

First, balance the tonearm horizontally by adjusting the counterweight. Set the scale ring to zero and then turn the counterweight to the value recommended for the cartridge (usually around 3 grams for the AT cartridge). Adjust the anti-skating accordingly.
